Nightmare
Title: Nightmare
Fandom: The Velvet Key
Character(s): April, Ledah
Pairing(s): None
Genre: Angst-ish
Rating: PG
Summary: Nightmares suck.
When April had jolted awake and checked her phone to see the time (3:27am), she quietly grumbled a curse to herself as she carefully sat up in the bed, she didn't want to wake Ledah up, and rubbed at her eyes to get rid of the sleepiness. Another nightmare, which means another long night; she had tried to sleep after her nightmares, but the images just continued to flash in front of her eyes and the screaming and noises echoed in her ears...
She slowly and carefully got up from the bed and walked over to the bedroom window; she freezes in place when she hears him moving, but the room soon goes quiet again. A quick glance back reassures her that he's still asleep, and April leans her head against the window with a sigh, watching the snowfall outside. It's going to be a long night, but at least the snow is soothing to watch.
