Not so bad
Title: Not so bad
Fandom: The Velvet Key
Character(s): April, Ledah
Pairing(s): None
Genre: Fluff
Rating: G
Summary: Sequel to 'Nightmare'. Her nightmares aren't much of a problem anymore.
2:55am; that's the time her phone showed when April is jolted awake from another nightmare and looks at her phone with a tired sigh. She sits up and is about to go sit by the window as she usually does, before she glances down at Ledah, who is still asleep. April remembered what he told her, that if she had another nightmare she was meant to wake him up, but it's late and she would be up for hours and... And he would get annoyed if she didn't and him being up with her might help...
With a nervous grumble, she reaches over to gently tap him on the shoulder a few times. “L-Ledah... Um, Ledah...”
That's enough to wake him up and he sits up with a tired, questioning look, before he understands. “Nightmare?” A sheepish nod is the reply.
Then she soon shifts closer to wrap her arms around him. “I-is this okay?”
“Yes,” And he returns the hug. “It's okay.”
As she hums happily and rests her head against his chest, now starting to feel calm again, she decides that this is much better than sitting by the window on her own all night.
