"Tatsumi, what should we do?"
Kanji looks startled to hear himself addressed. "What'd you mean, Issei-senpai?"
"I want to know what we should do," Issei repeats calmly. Groups for the next dungeon crawl are laid out on papers before them. "Most people will listen to me if I try hard enough to enforce my decisions, but you're an invaluable aid to me. If you don't agree then I'll doubt myself; if you do agree I'll feel that much more confident."
"...Most of what you said sounds good, but you need to change this group around a little." Kanji points to one of the groups. "Yeah, they've got a physical attacker if any Shadows are immune, but she's long range, and you don't have anyone who'll be able to defend her if we get those magic-immune Shadows again. She'll be a sitting duck if you go with this!"
"Huh. You're right; I completely missed that possibility." Issei notes a few things on that piece of paper. "Thank you, Tatsumi. You're a better part of our group than you give yourself credit for." He claps a hand on Kanji's shoulder and squeezes gently.
"-I knew that already."
