Yeah, Ryuunosuke was hot. Yeah, he wasn't an idiot like every other person in Prospero. But there was no way Asuka could bring herself to get attached to him.
What if he disappeared, like she had? She'd flip off the handle, and there's no way Prospero could deal with her if she was actually pissed off. What if he turned out to really be an asshole or some kind of creeper? It might actually hurt. Nobody hurt her and got away with it.
Asuka didn't need anyone but herself. And she was a master at doing things her own way.
