Summary: Klaus, Ingrid and a disagreement of words
He was mixing thick salves and liquids Ingrid was to addled to name while she watched him. Fresh bandages had been laid at the table to his right and he was lecturing her with a tired gruffness that would have culled her outbursts if she wasn’t high on the thrill of escaping alive.
“You were being foolish again, Ingrid. One day that will get you killed! You should count yourself lucky I was in the area.”
She raises a thin brow; her mouth turns up in amusement. “Come now Klaus, that’s a bit of a strong way to put it.”
Klaus huffs and turns back to his work, sore muscles protesting as he moves. “Then what would you call yourself?”
She leans back into the cushions, lounging more like a Queen amongst her adoring peasants than of a scuffed up teacher in a Baron’s abode. He would have rolled his eye if wasn’t already used to her ways.
“Amazingly, arrogantly, and alluringly audacious.”
