"John Egbert, please explain to me what you're doing." Issei stares at John like he's never seen him before. When John starts to speak, Issei interrupts him. "You told me that you have never tried meditation before this day, and indeed I can tell by the way you're sitting and fidgeting that you have no practice with it. Yet no matter how much you shift around, your breathing remains perfect. What are you doing?"
John blinks. "I'm just copying what you're doing, Issei."
A vehement shake of the head as Issei answers: "You're doing it better than me on your first attempt, and I have been training with this my entire life. I feel as though I'm in the presence of a born master. I am humbled."
Sheepishly, John rubs the back of his head. "Uh... about that breath thing..."
