Feferi tilts her head at him, obviously confused. "I didn't catch that, sorry."

"Let me rephrase," Klaus says. "In my home world, I have a machine which I use to study the human brain through a process of systematic destruction. I am going to attempt to recreate that machine here. There is a high chance brains will be set on fire, once I have suitable test subjects. Would you like to assist me in my research?"

She tilts her head in the other direction, well-groomed eyebrows drawing down and lips pushing forward into a pout. He sighs.

"I'm angling to rebuild my brain-albacoring apparatus. I seem to remember you being reely interested in such matters in school last week, and I thought you might be somewhat jellyfish if I left you out. Would you perch-ance like to kelp me? It will count as bonus points to the tuna an extra twenty or so. You needn't say yes if you don't eel like it, of course, but I thought I would present you with the oppor-tuna-ty."

She giggles. "Hee, why didn't you say so! I'd love to kelp."

"How were the puns?"

She smiles indulgently, showing off those sharp teeth, and pats him on the forearm -- the highest on him she can reach. "I thought some of them were a bit overkrill, but you're getting better! We'll work on them, okay?"

"I look forward to it."
